Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Core5. Using the app means you accept them.
Who you are contracting with
Core5 is built and run from Spain and is reachable at contact@core5app.com. "Core5", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the Service; "the Service" means the Core5 apps for macOS, iOS and iPadOS, this website, and the server-side functions behind them. Core5 is not yet incorporated; the registered name, tax number and address will be published here as soon as it is.
Your account
You need an account to use Core5, you must be at least 16, and the details you give have to be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since that is how signing in works.
What Core5 is, and what you may do with it
The Service is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Core5 on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are in force. Everything else stays with us.
Core5's source code, binaries, database design, server functions, interface, layouts, icons, the Core5 name and the talon mark are ours and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.
You may not copy, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the Service; sell, rent, sub-licence or otherwise make it available to a third party; remove or obscure any notice of ownership; use the name or mark in a way that suggests we endorse you; or copy the interface, its structure or its wording to build a competing product.
Reverse engineering. You may not decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent that this restriction cannot lawfully be excluded — in the European Union, the limited acts of decompilation permitted by Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC for interoperability, and only where you have first asked us in writing and we have not supplied the information within a reasonable time.
Automated access. You may not scrape, crawl, index or bulk-extract the Service or its content, nor drive it by automated means beyond ordinary personal use. The Claude connector and the documented integrations are the supported way to reach your own data from outside the app.
Ideas you send us
If you send us a suggestion, a bug report or an idea for a feature, we may use it without restriction and without owing you payment, credit or confidentiality. This does not apply to your content, which stays yours under the next section, and it does not give us any right to your own products or materials.
Your content is yours
Everything you put into Core5 — your tasks, projects, notes and the accounts you connect — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it back to you and sync it between your devices. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it for anything else.
In an organization, the work you place in its workspace is shared with the people its org chart allows to see it, and stays with the organization if you leave. Your personal work is never part of that, and no organization can see it.
Free, PRO and Teams
The five modules are free. PRO adds the writing assistance in Mail for €8,99 a month, including 200 AI requests a month; when they run out, that feature pauses until the month rolls over and everything else keeps working. Prices include VAT where it applies and may change with 30 days' notice, never for a period you have already paid.
PRO renews automatically each month until you cancel, at the price shown when you subscribe. You can cancel at any time from inside the app; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for and leaves you on Free with all your work intact. If a payment fails, the account drops to Free rather than being locked.
Teams is a plan for an organization: everything in PRO for every seat, plus the org chart, assignment rules and shared projects. Its price is agreed with each company, per seat, billed on the web — by card, through Stripe, with an invoice for every payment — and is not sold through Apple. Every organization starts with fourteen days free for ten seats, without a card. The person who creates an organization is its owner, contracts for it, and is responsible for the seats bought and the people invited. The owner can cancel at any time from the account page at core5app.com/account; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid.
If an organization stops paying, nothing is deleted. After a grace period it becomes read-only — everything stays visible, nothing new can be assigned or invited — and later frozen. Paying again restores it as it was, and personal work is never affected by an organization's subscription.
Your right to withdraw. As a consumer in the EU you have fourteen days to withdraw from a subscription without giving a reason. Because PRO is digital content supplied immediately, we ask you to confirm at the moment of purchase that you want it to start straight away and that you understand you lose the right to withdraw once it has. If you do not confirm, the feature waits until the fourteen days have passed. To withdraw, write to contact@core5app.com — a plain sentence is enough.
Where you bought it decides who refunds it. A subscription bought through Apple is billed by Apple, and cancellations and refunds go through your Apple account, under Apple's terms. We cannot refund an Apple purchase ourselves. A Teams subscription is billed by us through Stripe, and any refund for it is handled by writing to contact@core5app.com.
If you disagree with us, write first: most things are settled in an email. If that fails, the European Commission runs an online dispute-resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
What you agree not to do
- Break the law with it, or use it to infringe someone else's rights.
- Try to reach accounts or data that are not yours.
- Take the service apart, resell it, or drive it automatically at a scale that degrades it for other people.
The services Core5 connects to
Google, Slack, Notion, HubSpot and Anthropic each have their own terms, and connecting them is your decision. We are not responsible for their availability: if one of them changes its API or suspends your access there, features that depend on it will stop working here too.
Availability
Core5 is offered as it is, without any guarantee of being uninterrupted or error-free. We do our best, and we keep backups of the data held on our servers, but you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The features described on this site may change as the app develops.
Pre-release builds
Core5 is currently distributed through Apple's TestFlight. A pre-release build is, by definition, unfinished: it may contain errors, may behave differently from the description on this site, and may be withdrawn or replaced at any time. Use it on that understanding, and keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Nothing about a pre-release build is a promise that a feature will ship, or ship in that form.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from the app or from this page, and that removes your data. If you own an organization, transfer it or delete it first. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or that puts the service or other people at risk, and we will say why when we can.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for data lost where you had the means to keep a copy.
Also to the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service, in any twelve-month period, is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period — and, if you have paid us nothing, to one hundred euros.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, fraud or gross negligence, and none of it affects the rights you have as a consumer, which in several countries include remedies that no contract can take away.
If you cause us a problem
If you use Core5 outside these terms — to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to attack the service — you agree to cover the reasonable costs of any third-party claim that follows from it. This does not apply to ordinary use, and it does not apply where the claim is our fault.
Things outside anyone's control
We are not responsible for a failure caused by something we could not reasonably control: an outage at Apple, Google, Supabase or another provider, a network failure, a cyber-attack, or an act of a public authority. We will say what has happened and get the service back as soon as we can.
Law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim before the courts there.
The rest of the small print
- If a clause fails, the rest stands: a court striking one line out does not take the agreement with it.
- These terms, the privacy policy and the permissions page are the whole agreement between us about the Service, and they replace anything said before.
- We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over the operation of Core5, and we will tell you before it happens. You may not transfer them without our agreement.
- Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
- These terms are written in English, and the English version governs. Nothing in a translation reduces the rights the law of your country gives you.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date above changes and we tell you by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Core5 afterwards means you accept the new version.
